The following rules apply to the playing of the Game and entering into the Competition:
1. The game is entitled Shootout ("Game”) and to which is linked the competition as described below ("Competition"). The Competition is organised by Contract Options.
2. The playing of the Game and the entering into the Competition is open to UK residence only
3. Entrants to the Competition must be aged 18 years or over.
4. The Game and the Competition shall run from 1st June 2010 up to and including 9th July 2006 (with the first winner chosen on 10th July 2010). The Competition is only available via the Internet and is for free, with no purchase necessary. In order to play the Game and participate in the Competition, all entrants must provide an active email address and register a user name.
5.Contract Options reserve the right to offer ad hoc prizes at relevant stages throughout the World Cup weeks. The number 1 winner is the entrant with the greatest score during the competition series set out in Section 4 above. The list of prizes and prizewinners will be available on the game web site.
6. Winners will be notified by email to the address indicated by them. If Contract Options does not receive a reply from the winners within four days after attempting to make contact by email, the prize will be forfeited and Contract Options reserves the right to either offer the prize to the next ranking entrant, or to offer the prize in any forthcoming parts of the Competition.
7.Contract Options decision on the winners is final and without resort. No communication will be entered into regarding decisions taken on the winners.
8. The prize(s) must be taken as is and cannot be deferred. There will be no alternative prize offered. Contract Options will dispatch prizes to the winners by regular mail and cannot be held responsible for any postal delays, losses or errors. Further, Contract Options responsibility is strictly limited to the delivery of the prizes and Contract Options hereby disclaims all contractual liability, and liability of any other kind related to the quality or use of the prizes. Contract Options is not a supplier, sales agent or distributor of the aforementioned prizes, and disclaims any and all warranties connected to the said prizes. Entrant further recognizes that he/she is solely liable for any income taxes, other taxes or charges resulting from his/her participation in the Game and/or Competition.
9. In order to play the Game and participate in the Competition, all entrants must provide a valid email address.
10. Entrants must supply full details as required above, and comply with all rules of the Game and the Competition to be eligible for the prize. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently. Contract Options has the right to suspend or terminate, without prior notice, an entrant's account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Game or participation in the Competition (or any portion thereof) in the event Contract Options considers the entrant to be in breach of any of these rules.
11. Contract Options cannot be held responsible for network failure (total or partial) of telecommunications or Internet networks, or corrupted information or data, for any reason whatsoever.
12. All contents of the Game, Competition and site(s) are owned by Contract Options or it licensors, and are protected by copyright and trademark laws and applicable international conventions. Entrant may not copy, modify, reproduce, republish, post, transmit or distribute in any way any material from the Game, the Competition or the site including the underlying code and software. Entrants are only authorised to use the Game and the related site(s) and its contents for personal and non-commercial use.
13. Entrant will not use the Game, the Competition or site(s) in connection with chain letters, junk e-mail, spamming or any form of duplicative or unsolicited messages (commercial or otherwise), or to harvest or otherwise collect information about others, including e-mail addresses, without their consent, to create a false identity or forged e-mail address, or otherwise submit defamatory or illegal material or attempt to mislead others as to the identity of the sender or the origin of the message.
14. Use of the Game, the Competition and site(s) and the facilities thereon, and any material or information obtained from the Game, the Competition or the site(s) are at entrant's own risk, Contract Options hereby expressly disclaims, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all warranties, express or implied, of any kind whatsoever including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. In addition, Contract Options shall not be responsible for the failure of performance of the Game, the Competition or site(s) and/or the software used thereon or obtained there from; the loss of data or services resulting from delays, non-deliveries, mis-deliveries, or service interruption; the accuracy, quality or nature of information obtained through its services; nor the consequences arising from or related to any viruses or errors transmitted, or any liability, costs, loss of profits or consequential losses arising from entrant's or third party's use of, or inability to access the Game, the Competition or site(s), save that liability for death or personal injury is not excluded.
15. The winner authorizes Contract Options in advance and without any financial compensation, to use his/her name and address(es) in any promotional activities linked to the Game and or the Competition. This however remains an option for Contract options who in no way shall be committed to any such promotional activity.
16. Employees of Contract Options, and anyone else professionally connected with this promotion are excluded from entering the Competition.
17.Contract Options reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the Game or the Competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its sole discretion and without notice. Further, the Game or Competition, including these rules, may be updated or changed by Contract Options from time to time, without notice.
18. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to be bound by them when playing the Game and entering this Competition.
19. These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales
