After the first 13 weeks in my role (11 weeks in the office and a pre-booked holiday), but having previously spent 7 blissful years recruiting in Technical and Rail and then 17 years in the Logistics sector, I can say that I am amazed at the changes in the Technical and Rail recruitment sectors, but will cover those changes in future blogs as we go on.
These 13 weeks have given me a massive opportunity to meet many new clients in the Technical and Rail sectors, handling vacancies from Facilities Maintenance Engineers to Reward Programme Managers. I have also had the privilege of meeting with and talking to many candidates looking for professional roles, covering all corners of the UK.
I have attended three forums from the Digital Rail event to Automechanika at the NEC, meeting up with industry experts and discussing the way recruitment has changed over the years and the talent shortage we all face to meet our ever demanding skill shortages, sharing ideas on meeting these challenges.
Its been an exciting 13 weeks and I very much look forward to the future, to sharing tips, events, expert knowledge from the Technical and Rail sectors
